who claims to be an investigator, perhaps he will return and imitate me in reverting to the correct path, for this is more fitting for him than that imitation! Moreover, the ḥadīth does not fall below the rank of ḥasan due to the paths I mentioned there, so all praise is due to Allāh for His guidance, and I ask Him for more of His bounty. This is the last of what Allāh has enabled me to write in this introduction for this new edition, asking the Almighty to benefit with it more than He did with its predecessors, and to protect us from the evil of tribulations, both apparent and hidden.
