"The Abridged Muslim by al-Mundhirī," and "The Description of the Prayer," both published by Maktabat al-Maʿārif in Riyadh, and what might fair-minded readers say if they knew that despite my aforementioned boycott, he still dominates my books, printing them as he wishes, in whatever quantity he desires, as if he owns them; despite my repeated warnings to him that I do not wish for this?! But no... his injustice is not limited to me alone, but extends to the brothers with whom I began to deal and to whom I ceded some of my books, after I had offered that to him years ago, but he refused, acted arrogantly towards me, and looked down on me, and I have his letter to me regarding what I mentioned about him! He still prints the four books mentioned earlier, knowing that they have become their property, and he prints others with forgery in some, as he did in the book "al-Tankīl." Whoever wishes may compare the edition of Maktabat al-Maʿārif with the edition of the Islamic Office, for he will see astonishing things, especially if he reads my introduction to the al-Maʿārif edition. Nevertheless, he continues to print what we mentioned without any legitimate right, and he announces this in his catalogs without any deterrent or conscience. If you were to open the first book in his latest catalog for the year (1991 CE), you would find my book "Etiquettes of Marriage," which I had clarified in the introduction to the edition of "The Description of the Prayer" mentioned earlier, enough to deter him from continuing to publish it, because it became the property of the owner of the Islamic Library, and he admitted this to some of them, but it is deceit, aggression, greed, and covetousness. And what confirms this for you is that when he removed my introduction, which was 72 pages long, the reader could no longer benefit from the numbers that refer to an earlier or later text, because they refer to the pages of the legitimate edition, and some to a text in the removed introduction!! So, O readers! Do you see someone who does this to the author and his readers being truthful when he announces in the introduction to his aforementioned catalog that he deals with them based on advice and sincerity! Or is the matter as Allāh said: ﴿It is merely a word he utters﴾ (Sūrah Ṣād, verse 85)?!
"مختصر مسلم للمندري"، و"صفة الصلاة" وكلاهما نشر مكتبة المعارف في الرياض، وماذا عسى أَن يقول القراء المنصفون إذا علموا أنه مع مقاطعتي المذكورة لا يزال متسلطاً على كتبي، يطبعها كيف يشاء، وبالعدد الذي يشاء كأنه المالك لها؛ مع إنذاري إياه مراراً وتكراراً بعدم رغبتي في ذلك؟! ولكن لا.. ولم يقف جنفه عليّ وحدي، بل تعداه إلى الإِخوة الذين بدأت أتعامل معهم وأتنازل لهم عن بعض كتبي، بعد أن كنت عرضت ذلك عليه قبل سنوات، فأبى ذلك، واستكبر عليّ واستعلى، وعندي خطابه إلي بما ذكرتُ عنه! فهو لا يزال يطبع الكتب الأربعة المذكورة آنفاً، مع علمه بأنها صارت ملكاً لهم، كما يطبع غيرها مع تزوير له في بعضها كما فعل في كتاب "التنكيل"، فمن شاء قابل بين طبعة مكتبة المعارف، وطبعة المكتب الإِسلامي، فإنه سيرى العجب العجاب، وبخاصة إذا قرأ مقدمتي لطبعة المعارف، ومع ذلك فهو مستمر في طبع ما ذكرنا دون أي حق شرعي، ويُعلن ذلك في فهارِسه دون أي رادع أو وازع، فإنك لو فتحت على أول كتاب في فهرسه الأخير لعامِ (١٩٩١ م) فإنك ستجد كتابي "آداب الزفاف" الذي كنت بينت في مقدمة طبعة "صفة الصلاة" المشار إليها آنفاً ما يكفي لردعه عن استمراره في نشره، لأنه صار ملكاً لصاحب المكتبة الإِسلامية، وقد اعترف هو بذلك لبعضهم، ولكنه الكيد والبغي والجشع والطمع. وإن مما يؤكد لك هذا أنه لما حذف منه مقدمتي البالغ عدد صفحاتها (٧٢) صفحة، لم يعد القارىء يستفيد من الأرقام التي تشير إلى نص متقدم أو متأخر، لأنها تشير إلى صفحات الطبعة الشرعية، وبعضها إلى نص في المقدمة المحذوفة!! فيا معشر القراء! هل ترون من يفعل هذا بالمؤلف وقرائه يكون صادقاً حين يعلن في مقدمة "فهرسه" الآنف الذكر؛ أنه يتعامل معهم بموجب النصح والإِخلاص! أم الأمر كما قال تعالى: ﴿إنها كلمة هو قائلها﴾ ؟!
