and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I say: His statement in the isnād "from his father" is an error, as al-Ḥāfiẓ clarified in "al-Tahdhīb," but he mentioned regarding the narrators from Yaʿlá: "Some of them narrated from him indirectly, like ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib and al-Minhāl ibn ʿAmr." He mentioned something similar in the biography of al-Minhāl, that he narrated indirectly from Yaʿlá ibn Murrah. Based on this, the isnād is disconnected. Aḥmad also recorded it (4/171, 172) through the route of Wakīʿ, who narrated to us from al-Aʿmash without the story of the camel, except that he did not say once "from his father." He also recorded it (4/170) through the route of ʿUthmān ibn Ḥakīm, who said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz informed me from Yaʿlá ibn Murrah, who said: "I have seen three things from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that no one before me has seen..." and he mentioned them. Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (3/158): "Its isnād is good."
