"It was reported by al-Ṭabarānī and Ibn Mardawayh with a weak chain of transmission." And Ibn Jarīr reported through the route of Khālid ibn ʿArʿarah: "that a man said to ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu): What is the frequented house? He said: It is a house in the sky called al-Ḍirāḥ, and it is directly above the Kaʿbah, its sanctity in the sky is like the sanctity of the house on earth. Seventy thousand angels pray in it every day, and they never return to it." Its narrators are trustworthy except for Khālid ibn ʿArʿarah, who is obscure. Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (1/2/343): "He narrated from ʿAlī, and from him narrated Simāk and al-Qāsim ibn ʿAwf al-Shaybānī." And he did not mention any criticism or praise about him. Similarly, Ibn Ḥibbān included him in "al-Thiqāt" (1/37). And Abū al-Ṭufayl corroborated him, saying: "Ibn al-Kawāʾ asked ʿAlī about the frequented house? ..." It was also reported by Ibn Jarīr: narrated to us by Ibn Ḥumayd ... from Abū al-Ṭufayl. And Ibn Ḥumayd's name is Muḥammad, and he is very weak. And there is a supporting mursal narration from the account of Qatādah, who said: "It was mentioned to us that the Prophet ﷺ said one day to his companions: Do you know what the frequented house is? They said: Allāh and His Messenger know best. He said: It is a mosque in the sky, beneath it is the Kaʿbah, if it were to fall, it would fall upon it ..." It was reported by Ibn Jarīr: narrated to us by Bishr, who said: narrated to us by Yazīd, who said: narrated to us by Saʿīd from Qatādah. I say: And this is a sound mursal chain, all its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Bishr, who is Ibn Hilāl al-Ṣawwāf, from the narrators of Muslim alone
