Ḥabīb ibn al-Shahīd, and he said: "The isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him.

- "A man from those before you was wounded, and he became distressed by it, so he took a knife and cut his hand with it. The blood did not stop flowing until he died. Allāh said: My servant hastened himself to Me; I have forbidden Paradise for him." Narrated by al-Ṭabarānī (1/175-176): ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz narrated to us, Ḥajjāj ibn Minhal informed us, Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim narrated to us: al-Ḥasan informed us, Jundub ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bajalī narrated it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This isnād is authentic and connected. It was also recorded by al-Bukhārī in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (2/373): Muḥammad narrated to us, Ḥajjāj narrated to us, Jarīr from al-Ḥasan with a similar narration.

- "Replace the blood with perfume. Meaning on the head of the boy on the day of his sacrifice." Recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1057): Muḥammad ibn al-Mundhir ibn Saʿīd informed us: Yūsuf ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, Ḥajjāj narrated from Ibn Jurayj: Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd informed me from ʿAmrah from ʿĀʾishah who said: "In the pre-Islamic period, when they performed ʿaqīqah for a boy, they would dye a piece of cotton with the blood of the sacrifice, and when they shaved the boy's head, they would place it on his head. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said." Then he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy according to "al-Tahdhīb," except for Ibn Ḥibbān's shaykh, Muḥammad ibn al-Mundhir ibn Saʿīd, who is Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Harawī, a trustworthy ḥāfiẓ
