I said: He is trustworthy, as are those above him, so the chain is authentic.

- "The angels were created from light, Iblīs was created from the smokeless flame of fire, and Adam (peace be upon him) was created from what has been described to you." Narrated by Muslim (8/226), Ibn Mandah in "al-Tawḥīd" (32/1), al-Sahmī in "Tārīkh Jurjān" (62), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (p. 277 - Hind), and Ibn ʿAsākir (2/310/1) from al-Zuhrī from ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr from ʿĀʾishah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I said: This indicates the falsehood of the well-known ḥadīth among people: "The first thing Allāh created was the light of your Prophet, O Jābir." And similar ḥadīths that claim he (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was created from light, for this ḥadīth is clear evidence that only the angels were created from light, not Adam and his descendants, so be aware and do not be among the heedless. As for what ʿAbdullāh ibn Aḥmad narrated in "al-Sunnah" (p. 151) from ʿIkrimah who said: "The angels were created from the light of might, and Iblīs was created from the fire of might." And from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr who said: "Allāh created the angels from the light of the arms and chest." I said: All of this is from the Isrāʾīliyyāt, which it is not permissible to accept, because they have not been reported from the truthful and trustworthy (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam).

- "The caliphate will last thirty years, then it will become a monarchy." Narrated by Abū Dāwūd (4646, 4647), al-Tirmidhī (2/35), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (4/313), and Ibn Ḥibbān in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1534, 1535 - Mawārid)
