and in "al-Zawāʾid" (p. 231/2, Islamic Library reproduction): "The isnād of the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd is authentic, its narrators are trustworthy." I said: and it is as he said, for ʿAṭāʾ ibn al-Sāʾib, even though he became confused, Sufyān in the narration of Ibn Mājah, who is al-Thawrī, narrated from him before the confusion. And it was also narrated from him by Khālid ibn ʿAbd Allāh, according to Ibn Ḥibbān (1394), and he is trustworthy among the narrators of the two Shaykhs, and ʿUbaydah ibn Ḥumayd as well, it was recorded by al-Ḥākim in "al-Mustadrak" (4/196), and he is trustworthy among the narrators of al-Bukhārī. The ḥadīth has a supporting narration from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī with the wording: "Indeed, Allāh did not send down a disease..." and it is included in "Takhrīj al-Ḥalāl" (293).

"What you feed yourself is charity for you, what you feed your child is charity for you, what you feed your wife is charity for you, and what you feed your servant is charity for you." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/131): Ibrāhīm ibn Abī al-ʿAbbās narrated to us, he said: Baqīyah narrated to us, he said: Buḥayr ibn Saʿd narrated to us from Khālid ibn Maʿdān from al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdī Karib as marfūʿ. Then he recorded it (4/132): al-Ḥakam ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us, he said: Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us from Buḥayr ibn Saʿd with it. I said: and this isnād is authentic with the narration of Baqīyah and Ibn ʿAyyāsh from Buḥayr, and the rest of its narrators are unanimously trustworthy.
