I said: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and al-Haythamī said (3/122) when he mentioned it in full: "It was narrated by Aḥmad, and its men are the men of the authentic collections." Then he erred, for he mentioned it in another place (10/255) without his saying, "And the sun never set...etc." And he said: "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and added: 'And the sun never set' etc., it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ' except that he said: 'O Allāh, grant a reward to the one who spends, and grant loss to the one who withholds.'" And the men of Aḥmad and some of the isnāds of al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' are the men of the authentic collections." I said: And I only said: "He erred" because this addition that he attributed to al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' is also with Aḥmad as you know. And al-Mundhirī mentioned the second part of the ḥadīth in 'al-Targhīb' (2/39) and said: "It was narrated by Aḥmad and Ibn Ḥibbān in 'Ṣaḥīḥ' and al-Ḥākim with a similar wording and said: 'Authentic isnād' and al-Bayhaqī from his route, and its wording in one of his narrations..." I said: So he mentioned it in full and at the end of it an addition: "And Allāh revealed in that a Qurʾān in the saying of the two angels: 'O people, come to your Lord' in Sūrah Yūnus: (And Allāh invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path) and revealed in their saying: 'O Allāh, grant a reward to the one who spends, and grant loss to the one who withholds': (By the night when it covers, and the day when it unveils. And by He who created the male and the female) to His saying: (the difficult path)."
عوانة وسلام بن مسكين وغيرهم ".قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم، وقال الهيثمي (٣ / ١٢٢) وقد أوردهبهذا التمام:" رواه أحمد ورجاله رجال الصحيح ". ثم ذهل، فأورده في مكان آخر (١٠ / ٢٥٥) دون قوله. " ولا آبت شمس قط..الخ ".وقال: " رواه أحمد والطبراني في " الكبير " وزاد: " ولا آبت شمس قط " الخ، رواه الطبراني في " الأوسط " إلا أنه قال:" اللهم من أنفق فأعطه خلفا، ومن أمسك فأعطه تلفا ". ورجال أحمد وبعض أسانيد الطبراني في " الكبير " رجال الصحيح ". قلت: وإنما قلت: " ذهل " لأن هذه الزيادة التي عزاها للطبراني في " الكبير "هي عند أحمد أيضا كما علمت. والحديث أورد الشطر الثاني منه المنذري في " الترغيب " (٢ / ٣٩) وقال:" رواه أحمد وابن حبان في " صحيحه " والحاكم بنحوه وقال: " صحيح الإسناد "والبيهقي من طريقه، ولفظه في إحدى رواياته ... ". قلت: فذكره على التمام وفي آخره زيادة:" وأنزل الله في ذلك قرآنا في قول الملكين: " يا أيها الناس هلموا إلى ربكم "في سورة يونس: (والله يدعو إلى دار السلام ويهدى من يشاء إلى صراط مستقيم)وأنزل في قولهما: " اللهم أعط منفقا خلفا، وأعط ممسكا تلفا ": (والليلإذا يغشى والنهار إذا تجلى. وما خلق الذكر والأنثى) إلى قوله: (العسرى)".
