It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym (3/324-325) and in its chain is someone accused, and Abū Nuʿaym said: "This ḥadīth is well-known from the narration of ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥamq from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)."

- "Among the best of your deeds is approaching what is lawful (meaning women)." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/231) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (2/20) through the route of al-Ṭabarānī from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ from Azhar ibn Saʿīd al-Ḥarāzī who said: I heard Abū Kabshah al-Anmārī say: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was sitting with his Companions when he entered, then exited after having bathed. We said: O Messenger of Allāh, has something happened? He said: Yes, so-and-so passed by me and a desire for women entered my heart, so I went to one of my wives and fulfilled it. So do likewise, for it is among the best of..." I say: Its chain is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy.
