Rāshid, who is trustworthy as mentioned in "Taqrīb." Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (3/152): "Narrated by Abū Dāwūd and al-Ṭabarānī with a good isnād, and al-Ṭabarānī added: 'and it is not excluded.'" The ḥadīth has two other paths: the first from al-Muthanná ibn Yazīd from Maṭar al-Warrāq from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with its meaning, he said: "And whoever assists in a dispute unjustly will incur the wrath of Allāh." This is how Abū Dāwūd reported it, and al-Muthanná is unknown, but he was followed in this last sentence as I have extracted in "Irwāʾ al-Ghalīl" (2376). The other path was reported by Aḥmad (2/82) from Ayyūb ibn Sulaymān, a man from the people of Ṣanʿāʾ, from Ibn ʿUmar, raised to the Prophet with a similar meaning, and he added at the end: "Preserve the two rakʿahs of Fajr, for they are among the virtues." Its isnād is weak; this Ayyūb is unknown as mentioned in "al-Taʿjīl," but the rest of their narrators are trustworthy. There is a third path, but it is very weak, reported by al-Khaṭīb (8/379) who said: Abū Nuʿaym al-Ḥāfiẓ informed us, saying: Lāḥiq ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿImrān ibn Abī al-Ward narrated to us, Abū Sulaymān Dāwūd ibn Sulaymān ibn Dāwūd al-Aṣbahānī—who came to Baghdad—narrated to us, Abū al-Ṣalt Sahl ibn Ismāʿīl al-Murādī narrated to us: Mālik ibn Anas from al-Zuhrī from Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh from his father, raised to the Prophet. And he said: "A false ḥadīth attributed to Mālik and those above him, and Lāḥiq was not trustworthy."
