- "Their young ones are the little birds of Paradise; one of them meets his father—or he said: his parents—and takes hold of his garment—or he said: his hand—just as I take hold of the edge of your garment, and he does not desist—or he said: he does not stop—until Allāh admits him and his parents into Paradise." This was recorded by Muslim (8/41) and Aḥmad (2/488, 510) through the chain of Sulaymān al-Taymī from Abū al-Silīl from Abū Ḥassān, who said: I said to Abū Hurayrah, "Two of my sons have died, so what can you narrate to us from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that will comfort us about our deceased?" He said: "Yes," and then he mentioned it.

- "The most beloved servants of Allāh to Allāh are those with the best character." Al-Suyūṭī mentioned it in this manner in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" through the narration of al-Ṭabarānī from the ḥadīth of Usāmah ibn Sharīk. However, the original ḥadīth from him is as follows: "He said: We were sitting with the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) as if birds were on our heads, none of us speaking, when some people came to him and said: 'Who are the most beloved servants of Allāh to Allāh?' He said: 'Those with the best character.'" Al-Mundhirī (3/259) and al-Haythamī (8/24) mentioned it in this manner through the narration of al-Ṭabarānī and said: "Its narrators are relied upon in (the authentic collections)." The wording is from the first of them, and he added: "And Ibn Ḥibbān in his 'Ṣaḥīḥ,' and in a narration by Ibn Ḥibbān similar to it, except that he said: 'They said: O Messenger of Allāh, what is the best thing given to a person?' He said: 'Good character.'" It was narrated by al-Ḥākim and al-Bayhaqī in a similar manner, and al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to their criteria, but they did not include it because Usāmah has only one narrator." Thus he said, but it is not correct, for Ziyād ibn ʿAlāqah and Ibn al-Aqmar and others have narrated from him."
