and Ibn al-Sakan authenticated it as mentioned in "al-Fayḍ." It was also narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Ṣaghīr" (96) and likewise by al-Ḥākim through the route of Ayyūb ibn Suwayd, who reported from Ibn Shawdhub, from Abū al-Tayyāḥ, from Anas in a marfūʿ form. Ayyūb is considered weak. Al-Munāwī said: "And it was narrated by al-Bayhaqī from Abū Umāmah with a weak chain, and Ibn al-Jawzī said: It is not authentic from any of its routes." I say: This is an exaggeration, for the ḥadīth from the first route is ḥasan, and these supporting evidences and routes elevate it to the level of ṣaḥīḥ due to their diverse origins and the absence of any accused [narrators]. And Allāh knows best.

- "He prohibited images in the house, and he prohibited a man from making them." It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (1/325) and Aḥmad (3/335, 384) from Ibn Jurayj who informed me that Abū al-Zubayr heard Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh claim that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) prohibited it, etc. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." And it is as he said: it meets the criteria of Muslim. It was also narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān (1485) from this route without the second part.

- "The believer is sociable, and there is no good in one who neither associates nor is associated with." It was narrated by Aḥmad (5/335) and al-Khaṭīb (11/376) from ʿĪsá ibn Yūnus who reported to us
