and this is a ṣaḥīḥ isnād according to the criteria of the six [books]. They have also reported it with other wordings conveying the same meaning through other chains, which I have documented in "al-Irwāʾ" (2238).

"He who does not thank people does not thank Allāh." It was reported by Aḥmad (5/211, 212) through two chains from Ziyād ibn Kulayb from al-Ashʿath ibn Qays as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Al-Mundhirī said (2/56) and was followed by al-Haythamī (8/180): "Its narrators are trustworthy." I say: They are among the narrators of Muslim, but there is a disconnection between Ziyād and al-Ashʿath, as he did not meet him, and there are about eighty years between their deaths. However, it has a supporting narration from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with the same wording. It was reported by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (33), Abū Dāwūd (2/290), Ibn Ḥibbān (2070), al-Ṭayālisī (p. 326, no. 2491), and Aḥmad (2/295, 302, 388, 492) through chains from al-Rabīʿ ibn Muslim from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād who heard it from Abū Hurayrah. And this is a ṣaḥīḥ isnād according to the criteria of Muslim. It has also been reported with the wording: "The most grateful of people to Allāh is the most grateful to people." And it will appear under number (1458). And with the wording: "He who does not thank people..." and it will also appear, if Allāh wills.

"If one of you loves his brother, let him inform him that he loves him." It was reported by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (79), Abū Dāwūd (2/333), al-Tirmidhī (2/63), Ibn Ḥibbān (2514), al-Ḥākim (4/171), Aḥmad (4/130), and Ibn al-Sunnī (193) from Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd who said: Thawr ibn Yazīd narrated to us, who said: Ḥabīb ibn ʿUbayd narrated from al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdīkarib as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with it. And al-Tirmidhī said:
