al-Sahmī said: Ḥātim ibn Abī Ṣaghīrah narrated to us from al-Nuʿmān ibn Sālim that ʿAmr ibn Aws informed him that his father Aws said: and he mentioned it. This chain is also authentic according to the conditions of Muslim, and it appears that al-Nuʿmān initially narrated it like this from ʿAmr from Aws, then narrated it directly from Aws without an intermediary. The sixth: al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr, it was recorded by al-Nasāʾī and al-Bazzār in "his Musnad" (p. 4, Maktab image) through the path of Isrāʾīl from Simāk from him with a narration similar to that of Aws. Its chain is authentic, its men are the men of the authentic [collections], and al-Ḥāfiẓ attributed it in "al-Fatḥ" (12/232) to al-Bazzār alone, which was a distant reference. The seventh: Anas ibn Mālik (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) and it has been mentioned previously under number (303) and I add here by saying: it is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, and it was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "his Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/395) from this perspective except that he did not mention in it "for them what is for the Muslims" etc., and added: "and their reckoning is with Allāh" and said: Ibn Abī Maryam said Yāḥyā informed us, Ḥumayd narrated to us, Anas narrated to us from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). This commentary was mentioned by al-Bukhārī to dispel the suspicion of Ḥumayd's tadlīs, even though his hearing of this ḥadīth from Anas is established.
