from this chain of transmission, it was also narrated by al-Rūyānī in "Musnad" (29/197-198) and al-Bayhaqī in "Shuʿab" (2/384/1, Islamic Library image). I say: This is an authentic isnād according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and it is a three-narrator chain in Aḥmad's collection. Al-Haythamī said (10/190): "It was narrated by Aḥmad, and its narrators are those of the authentic collections. It was also narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in the three [collections] through two chains, one of which consists of narrators from the authentic collections except for ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥakam, who is trustworthy."

"when he intended to sleep while in a state of major ritual impurity, he would perform ablution, and when he intended to eat, he would wash his hands." It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī (1/50): Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd ibn Muḥammad informed us, saying: ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak narrated to us from Yūnus, from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Salamah, from ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā): "that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was..." I say: This is an authentic isnād; its narrators are trustworthy and are the narrators of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, except for Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd, who is Abū Jaʿfar or Abū Yaʿlá al-Naḥḥās al-Kūfī, and he is truthful. He was followed by Suwayd ibn Naṣr, who said: ʿAbd Allāh informed us from Yūnus with it. It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī and in "al-Kubrā" as well (Q 65/2)
