"his name is Yaḥyá, trustworthy, but he has some deniable reports." I said: However, his ḥadīth has supporting evidence indicating its authenticity, and that he preserved it. As for the second part of it, there are many supporting evidences, one of which was mentioned in the ḥadīth before it. As for the first part, it is supported by the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah who said: "He forbade drinking from a broken part of a cup." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (5/78): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ', and its men are trustworthy, men of the authentic collections." And the ḥadīth of Sahl ibn Saʿd: "that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) forbade blowing into the drink and drinking from a chipped part of a cup." "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is ʿAbd al-Muhaymin ibn ʿAbbās ibn Sahl, who is weak." And from Ibn ʿAbbās and Ibn ʿUmar who said: "It is disliked to drink from a chipped part of a cup, and the handle of a cup." "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its men are men of the authentic collections."

- "Beware of minor sins like a people who camped in the bottom of a valley, and this one brought a stick and that one brought a stick until they baked their bread. Indeed, when a person is taken to account for minor sins, they will destroy him."
