and it was also reported by Thumāmah ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Anas from Anas with it, except for his statement: "And he said: It is more wholesome..." It was recorded by Muslim, al-Nasāʾī, al-Tirmidhī, and Aḥmad (3/114, 128, 185). In a narration by al-Nasāʾī from the first path, it is stated: "When one of you drinks, let him breathe three times, for it is more wholesome and more satisfying." Its isnād is as follows: Isḥāq ibn Ibrāhīm informed us, saying: Wakīʿ narrated to us, saying: Hishām ibn Abī ʿAbd Allāh narrated it to me. I said: This isnād is authentic, and both Hishām and ʿAbd al-Wārith ibn Saʿīd are reliable and trustworthy. They differed in their wording from Abū ʿIṣām; one narrated it as an action of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and the other as his statement. The first is preferred, as the second path from Anas is also from his action. (Note) Al-Suyūṭī attributed the ḥadīth in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" to (Q, 4), but I did not find it in al-Bukhārī and Ibn Mājah. And Allāh knows best.

- "He forbade drinking from the chipped part of a cup and blowing into the drink." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (3722), Ibn Ḥibbān (1366), and Aḥmad (3/80), as well as his son ʿAbd Allāh, from the path of Qurrāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Ibn Shihāb from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUtbah from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī that he said: and he mentioned it as marfūʿ.
