I said: And similarly in "al-ʿIlal" by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (2/15-16) from his father, and it is more precise in explaining the stages of ʿAbd al-Razzāq's confusion in it. I said: And it implies that the correct version is mursal, which is what Ibn Maʿīn explicitly stated as narrated by ʿAbbās al-Dūrī in the book "al-Tārīkh wa-al-ʿIlal li-Yahya ibn Maʿīn." He said (23/2): "I heard Yaḥyá ibn Maʿīn say: The ḥadīth of Maʿmar from Zayd ibn Aslam from his father (from ʿUmar) said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: (and he mentioned it): it is nothing, it is only from Zayd mursal." As for al-Ḥākim, he said: "Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs!" And al-Dhahabī agreed with him! And before them, al-Mundhirī in "al-Targhīb" (3/130)!
