its narrators are trustworthy." Al-Mundhirī said (3/132-133, 4/294): "It was narrated by Aḥmad, and its narrators are trustworthy except for Yazīd ibn Abī Mālik, who is trustworthy, though some said he is weak."

"If I live, by the will of Allāh, until the next year, I will fast on the ninth, fearing that I might miss the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/99/2) through two chains from Aḥmad ibn Yūnus, who reported from Ibn Abī Dhīʾb, from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbbās, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmayr, from Ibn ʿAbbās, as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This is an authentic chain; all its narrators are trustworthy.

"O Allāh, whoever wrongs the people of Madīnah and frightens them, then frighten him, and upon him is the curse of Allāh, the angels, and all people. No obligatory or voluntary act will be accepted from him." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (1/125/2): Ruḥ ibn al-Faraj Abū al-Zanbāʿ narrated to us, who reported from Yaḥyā ibn Bukayr, who reported from al-Layth, from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah, from Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah, from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār, from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit, as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. And he said: "No one narrated it from Mūsá except Hishām; al-Layth was unique in narrating it." I say: This is an authentic isnād; its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Ruḥ ibn al-Faraj, who is trustworthy as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb."
