4- from Hammām ibn Munabbih on his authority. It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (6482), and al-Bayhaqī (7/61) through the route of ʿAbd al-Razzāq, and this is in "al-Muṣannaf" (11/190/20294). 5- Abū Yūnus on his authority as a marfūʿ. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/390) through the route of Yaḥyá ibn Isḥāq from Ibn Lahīʿah on his authority. I said: Yaḥyá ibn Isḥāq—who is al-Sayliḥīnī—is among the early companions of Ibn Lahīʿah; thus, we are safe from the confusion of Ibn Lahīʿah. Then it was recorded by Aḥmad (3/33) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq with his isnād from Abū al-Haytham from Abū Saʿīd, and from Abū al-Zanād from al-Aʿraj from Abū Hurayrah. And it has supporting narrations: Firstly, from ʿĀʾishah who said: Two men came to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and spoke to him about something I do not know; they angered him, so he cursed them and insulted them. When they left, I said: Who received any good from him that these two did not?! He said: "And what is that?!" She said: I said: You cursed them and insulted them. He said: "Do you not know what I have stipulated with my Lord?! I said: O Allāh! I am only a human, so whichever Muslim I have cursed or insulted; make it purification and a reward for him."
