Both were recorded through the route of Abū Usāmah, Ḥammād ibn Usāmah. I almost considered them anomalous, except that I found a corroborating report from the route of Ibn Abī Mulaykah from ʿĀʾishah, who said: "Jibrīl brought me to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a silk cloth and said: 'This is your wife in this world and the Hereafter.'" It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān and others with an authentic chain according to the conditions of Muslim. See my commentary on "al-Mishkāt" (6182 - second verification). *

(Aslam, may Allāh grant it safety, and Ghifār, may Allāh forgive it, indeed, I did not say it, but Allāh said it. It was recorded by Muslim (7/177) and al-Ḥākim (4/82) through the route of Khuthaym ibn ʿArāk from his father from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. I say: This chain is authentic according to the conditions of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and al-Bukhārī only recorded it in a summarized form through the route of Muḥammad ibn Ziyād from Abū Hurayrah, without the statement: "Indeed, I did not say it..."; which is a narration for Muslim, and it was recorded by Aḥmad (2/469). Al-Ḥākim corrected the ḥadīth of ʿArāk for Muslim; but he erred! There is a corroborating report for this portion from the ḥadīth of Abū Dharr: Muslim recorded it in a summarized form in the indicated place, and he recorded it at the end of the long ḥadīth of Abū Dharr about his journey with his brother Anīs to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in Makkah (7/152-155) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ṣāmit who said: Abū Dharr said: ... and he mentioned it in full
