and Aḥmad (2/263, 283, 342, 389, 446, 447, 483, 527, 537) from the path of Sahl ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ from his father from Abū Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. It has supporting evidence from the ḥadīth of Wahb ibn Ḥudhāyfah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: ... and he mentioned it with the wording: "If a man leaves his seat and returns to it, he has more right to it. And if he has a need and leaves for it, then returns, he has more right to it." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/422) and al-Tirmidhī (2751) - in a similar manner - from the path of Khālid ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Wāsiṭī who said: ʿAmr ibn Yaḥyá narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá from his uncle Wāsiʿ ibn Ḥibbān from Wahb ibn Ḥudhāyfah with it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A good, authentic, and rare ḥadīth." I say: Its chain is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs. Ismāʿīl ibn Rāfiʿ disagreed, saying: from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá from his uncle Wāsiʿ ibn Ḥibbān from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, raised and abridged. I say: Ismāʿīl ibn Rāfiʿ is weak in memory; thus, with this chain, it is rejected. It has supporting evidence from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, raised in a similar manner. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/32) from the path of Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar, raised in a similar manner. I say: Its men are trustworthy, except that Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq is a mudallis, and he narrated it with ʿanʿanah. *
وأحمد (٢/٢٦٣و٢٨٣و٣٤٢و٣٨٩و٤٤٦و٤٤٧و٤٨٣و٥٢٧و٥٣٧) من طريق سهيل ابن أبي صالح عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله- ﷺ: ... فذكره. وله شاهد من حديث وهب بن حذيفة عن النبي ﷺ قال: ... فذكره بلفظ:"إذا قام الرجل من مجلسه فرجع إليه؛ فهو أحق به، وإن كانت له حاجة فقام إليها، ثم رجع؛ فهو أحق به ". أخرجه أحمد (٣/٤٢٢) ، والترمذي (٢٧٥١) - بنحوه- من طريق خالد بن عبد الله الواسطي قال: ثنا عمرو بن يحيى عن محمد بن يحيى عن عمه واسع بن حبان عن وهب بن حذيفة به. وقال الترمذي:"حديث حسن صحيح غريب ". قلت: وإسناده صحيح على شرط الشيخين. وخالفه إسماعيل بن رافع فقال: عن محمد بن يحيى عن عمه واسع بن حبان عن أبي سعيد الخدري، مرفوعاً مختصراً. قلت: وإسماعيل بن رافع ضعيف الحفظ؛ فهو بهذا الإسناد منكر. وله شاهد من حديث ابن عمر مرفوعاً نحوه. أخرجه أحمد (٢/٣٢) من طريق محمد بن إسحاق عن نافع عن ابن عمر مرفوعاً نحوه. قلت: ورجاله ثقات، غير أن محمد بن إسحاق مدلس، وقد عنعنه. *
