"May Allāh curse the one who does this. Have I not forbidden this?!", then he said, "If one of you draws his sword and looks at it, and wants to hand it to his brother, let him sheathe it first and then hand it to him." It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/41-42). I say: Its isnād is good. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ" (13/25): "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī with a good isnād from Abū Bakrah." I say: It is not hidden that this text differs from the ḥadīth of the chapter. However, the ḥadīth has a corroboration from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah with a similar meaning, narrated by Muslim and others, and it is extracted in "Ghayat al-Maram" under number (446). *

(When one of you stands for prayer, he should not spit in front of him, for he is conversing with Allāh as long as he is in prayer, nor to his right, for there is an angel on his right. Let him spit to his left or under his foot and bury it.) It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (416- "Fatḥ"), Ibn Ḥibbān (2266), Aḥmad (2/318), and al-Sulamī in "Ṣaḥīfat Hammām ibn Munabbih" (45/119), all from the route of ʿAbd al-Razzāq, and this is in "Muṣannaf" (1/431/1686) from Maʿmar from Hammām who heard Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)... and he mentioned it. ʿAbd al-Razzāq also narrated it (1681) from Maʿmar from al-Zuhrī from Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Abū Hurayrah with a similar meaning. A group followed him from al-Zuhrī with it, and some of them paired Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī with Abū Hurayrah, and its extraction has preceded under number (1274)
