that some of them give the call to prayer before the time, and some after the time. This is something we have witnessed with our own eyes and heard with our own ears. Therefore, Muslims must adhere to the legitimate call to prayer, which varies in time from one country to another, and perform acts of worship at their prescribed times!

(My community will come to me at the Basin, and I will drive people away from it as a man drives away the camels of another man from his camels. They will say: O Prophet of Allāh! Will you recognize us? He will say: Yes, you will have marks that no one else will have. You will come to me with bright faces and limbs from the effects of ablution. A group of you will be turned away from me, and they will not reach [the Basin]. I will say: O Lord! These are my companions?! An angel will answer me, saying: Do you know what they did after you?!) I said: This is an authentic ḥadīth narrated by Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), and it has various chains and wordings, some lengthy like this one, and some brief. Here is the explanation: the first chain is from Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Hurayrah, reported as elevated. It was recorded by Muslim (1/150) - and this is his wording - Abū ʿAwānah (1/137), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Baʿth wa-al-Nushūr" (102/158). The second [chain]: from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from Abū Hurayrah, who used to narrate - and in another narration from Ibn al-Musayyib that he used to narrate - that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "A group of my companions will come to me on the Day of Resurrection, and they will be driven away from the Basin. I will say: O Lord! My companions?! He will say: You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you; they turned back on their heels."
