and for the phrase "the sanctity" there is a third route: with al-Bazzār (2/134/1372) and others from Abū Wāʾil about it; I have discussed it there. From this perspective, al-Bukhārī (88- Fatḥ), Muslim (1/57-58), Abū ʿAwānah (1/24-25), and others have reported from two routes from Abū Wāʾil: only the first phrase. The rest of it is strongly supported by a narration from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Every Muslim is sacred to another Muslim: his blood, his wealth, and his honor." It was narrated by Muslim and others, and it is referenced in "al-Irwāʾ" (2450). Thus, the ḥadīth is authentic in both its parts. All praise is due to Allāh, Lord of the worlds. *

(The covenant of the Muslims is one; if an oppressor violates it, do not betray it; for every traitor will have a banner by which he will be recognized on the Day of Resurrection). It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (Q 202/1/photocopy of the office): narrated to us by Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sahm: narrated to us by Abū Isḥāq al-Fazārī from Abū Saʿd from ʿAmr ibn Murrah from Abū al-Bakhtarī al-Ṭāʾī from ʿĀʾishah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād [chain of narrators] consists of men all of whom are trustworthy, the men of Muslim; except for Abū Saʿd, whom I did not recognize. As for al-Haythamī, it seems he recognized him; for he said (5/329): "It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá, and in it is Muḥammad ibn Asʿad, whom Ibn Ḥibbān deemed trustworthy, while Abū Zurʿah weakened him, and the rest of the men are the men of (the Ṣaḥīḥ)."
