- "Fear Allāh and be just among your children, just as you love for them to be dutiful to you." Al-Suyūṭī mentioned it in "al-Jāmiʿayn": "al-Kabīr" and "al-Ṣaghīr" from the narration of al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" from the ḥadīth of al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr. He remained silent about it as was his usual practice, and al-Haythamī did not include it in "Majmaʿ" because its origin is in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs" and others, as will come, but the phrase (love) is not in them. This was one of the reasons that led me to include it in "Ḍaʿīf al-Jāmiʿ" when I made "al-Fatḥ al-Kabīr fī Ḍamm al-Ziyādah ilá al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" by Shaykh al-Nabhānī into two sections: authentic and weak. Now, as Allāh has granted me some energy and strength to research and write during my illness that has incapacitated me—and I am in the process of refining "al-Fatḥ al-Kabīr"—it was necessary to form a scholarly opinion about this ḥadīth and its likes, which I had previously left blank for the mentioned reason and similar ones explained in the introduction of the (two sections) referred to. I renewed the research on the ḥadīth; I did not find it in "Muʿjam al-Ṭabarānī" because the volume containing the first letter of its name, the letter nūn, has not been printed yet. However, Allāh Almighty guided me, and I found it in a source rarely referred to by researchers, and I found evidence that supports and strengthens it, so I say: It was extracted by Muslim al-Wāsiṭī, known as (Baḥshal), in "Tārīkh Wāsiṭ" (224-225) through the route of ʿAlī ibn ʿĀṣim from Dāwūd ibn Abī Hind, Ḥuṣayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid, Muṭarrif, and Abū Isḥāq al-Shaybānī from ʿĀmir, who said; I heard al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr while he was delivering a sermon on the pulpit, and he said: My father gave me a charity, and ʿAmrah bint Rawāḥah said: I will not be satisfied until you make the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) witness it. So Bashīr went to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: I have given charity to my son
