attributing it to Imām Aḥmad, who is more renowned and esteemed than the latter two!! *

(Give in charity, and do not withhold; lest it be withheld from you). It is narrated from Asmāʾ and ʿĀʾishah: First, the ḥadīth of Asmāʾ; it has several chains from her: 1- Al-Bukhārī (2590) narrated it, saying: Abū ʿĀṣim told us from Ibn Jurayj from Ibn Abī Mulaykah from ʿAbbād ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Asmāʾ (may Allāh be pleased with her) or she was [enumerating]—she said: I said: O Messenger of Allāh! I have no wealth except what al-Zubayr brings to me, so should I give in charity? He said: ... and he mentioned it. I said: And ʿAbbād is the son of ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Zubayr ibn al-ʿAwwām; trustworthy. Muslim (3/92-93), al-Nasāʾī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (9193), Aḥmad (6/353), al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (1654), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (4/187) narrated it through different chains from Ibn Jurayj: Ibn Abī Mulaykah informed me of it, with the wording: "Give as much as you can, and do not withhold; lest Allāh withhold from you." Al-Bukhārī (1434) and Aḥmad (6/354) also narrated it—without the text—through the chain of Ibn Jurayj, who said: Ibn Abī Mulaykah informed me from ʿAbbād ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Zubayr, who informed him from Asmāʾ bint Abī Bakr (may Allāh be pleased with her): that she came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he said: ... and he mentioned it (1)
