I prayed behind the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in Medina for the ʿaṣr prayer. He concluded the prayer, then stood up quickly and moved through the people to one of his wives' rooms. The people were alarmed by his haste. He returned to them and saw that they were surprised by his speed, so he said: ... and he mentioned it. The context is from the first section of "al-Ṣaḥīḥ," with the first addition and narration for the first section, and the second addition for the third section of "al-Ṣaḥīḥ." The fourth section is limited to part of the story, with nothing from the ḥadīth of the chapter. It was also narrated by al-Nasāʾī (3/84), Aḥmad (4/7-8 and 8 and 384), Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in "al-Āḥād wa-al-Mathānī" (476 and 477), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (17/354/979) through various chains from ʿUmar ibn Saʿīd with it.

- (I saw in a dream as if Jibrīl was at my head and Mīkāʾīl at my feet. One of them said to the other: Give him an example. He said: Listen with your ears and understand with your heart; your example and the example of your nation is like a king who built a house, then constructed a room in it, then placed a table in it, and then sent a messenger to invite people to his food. Some responded to the messenger, and some left it. Allāh is the king, the house is Islam, the room is Paradise, and you, O Muḥammad, are the messenger. Whoever responds to you enters Islam, and whoever enters Islam enters Paradise, and whoever enters Paradise eats what is in it). It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (2860), and through his route: al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar in "Taghlīq al-Taʿlīq"
