this is how it appeared among all of them with the ʿanʿanah of Abū al-Zubayr. And his saying at the end of the ḥadīth: (but He sent me as a teacher and facilitator); in it is a credible support for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAmr with the wording: (I was only sent as a teacher). I had previously included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" under number (11) due to the context in which it was mentioned. And I clarified the weakness of its isnād, and its text: that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed by two gatherings, and said: "Both are upon good ... " and at its end is the mentioned wording. At that time—more than forty years ago—I did not recall this supporting evidence, so the brother who reminded me of it—may Allāh reward him well—suggested that I replace the context with the mentioned wording there and mention this supporting evidence for it. I saw it as a good suggestion, so I hastened to point it out here, and wrote something similar in my copy of "al-Ḍaʿīfah," so that it may be included in its new edition, if Allāh wills, during my lifetime or after my death, asking the Lord to conclude for me and for every beloved one with faith; for He is the best to be asked.

- (I remembered [while I was in prayer] something of gold [from charity] with us, so I disliked that it should remain (in another narration: that it should remain until evening—or overnight—with us); so I ordered its distribution). Narrated by al-Bukhārī (851, 1221, 1430, 6275) through various chains from ʿUmar ibn Saʿīd who said: Ibn Abī Mulaykah informed me from ʿUqbah who said:
