and al-Dārimī (2/27-28), and al-Nasāʾī in "al-Kubrā" (3394 and 3395), and Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (2/514 and 3/73), and Ibn Khuzaymah (2198), and Ibn Ḥibbān (3679), and al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (1821), and al-Bayhaqī (4/311), and Aḥmad (5/313 and 319), and Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr in "al-Tamhīd" (2/200) through various chains from Ḥumayd from Anas who said: ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit informed me that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) came out to inform about the Night of Decree, and two men from the Muslims argued, so he said: ... and he mentioned it. It was also narrated by al-Ṭayālisī (576), and Aḥmad (5/313) through the route of Thābit and Ḥumayd from Anas from ʿUbādah. And it was narrated by Aḥmad (5/424) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl from ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from ʿUbādah. I said: And perhaps this is one of the errors of Ibn ʿAqīl, as the ḥadīth is from Ḥumayd from Anas from ʿUbādah. And it was narrated by Mālik (1/298), and through his route: al-Nasāʾī in "al-Kubrā" (3396) from Ḥumayd from Anas from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr said in "al-Tamhīd" (2/200): "This is how Mālik narrated this ḥadīth, with no disagreement about its isnād and text, and the ḥadīth is indeed from Anas, from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit ... "; and al-Ḥāfiẓ affirmed it in "al-Fatḥ" (4/268)
