among them is what Ṣāliḥ ibn Kaysān narrated from ʿĪsá ibn Masʿūd al-Zuraqī from his grandmother Ḥabībah bint Sharīq: that she was with her mother, the daughter of al-ʿAjmāʾ, during the days of ḥajj at Miná. He said: Then Budayl ibn Warqāʾ came on the mount of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with his belongings and announced: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) says: 'Whoever is fasting should break their fast, for these are days of eating and drinking.'" It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (2/250), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (4/27/3526), and Abū Nuʿaym in "Maʿrifat al-Ṣaḥābah" (2/342/1). I said: This isnād is good; its narrators are trustworthy, except for ʿĪsá ibn Masʿūd ibn al-Ḥakam al-Zuraqī, who was deemed reliable by Ibn Ḥibbān (7/236). Three trustworthy narrators reported from him; two of them are mentioned in "al-Tahdhīb," but they missed this third one—Ṣāliḥ ibn Kaysān—who is a reliable, established jurist. Regarding this ḥadīth, al-Haythamī said: "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ,' and in Aḥmad's isnād, there is an unnamed man!" Yet he did not comment on al-Ṭabarānī's isnād at all! And all its narrators are trustworthy. It appears that this ḥadīth is among those that were omitted from some copies of "al-Musnad," including the printed edition in Egypt. It was also attributed to Aḥmad by al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr in "Jāmiʿ al-Masānīd" (2/15), and similarly, al-Ḥāfiẓ did so in "Aṭrāf al-Musnad" (1/572/1113). Therefore, its editor, Dr. Zuhayr Nāṣir, prefaced it by saying: "I did not find it." Perhaps those responsible for printing "al-Musnad" at "Muʾassasat al-Risālah" will include this ḥadīth along with other ḥadīths that were omitted from the printed edition, as some have been previously noted
