- "Do not fast on these days; for they are days of eating and drinking." It was recorded by Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (3/494) from the route of Qatādah from Sulaymān ibn Yasār from Ḥamzah al-Aslamī: that he saw a man on a camel following the people's luggage in Miná; and the Prophet of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was present, and the man was saying: ... and he mentioned it. Qatādah said: It was mentioned to us that the caller was Bilāl. From this route, it was recorded by al-Nasāʾī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (2/165/2875/1) without Qatādah's statement; and he mentioned the disagreement in its isnād regarding Sulaymān ibn Yasār, and that Sālim Abū al-Naḍr and ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Bakr agreed from Sulaymān ibn Yasār from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥudhāfah: that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) commanded him to announce during the days of Tashrīq: "They are days of eating and drinking." I say: This isnād is authentic. Then he mentioned another disagreement regarding Sulaymān ibn Yasār. Then he mentioned some supporting narrations, including: from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār from Nāfiʿ ibn Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim from Bishr ibn Saḥīm with a similar elevated narration. Its isnād is also authentic.
