"its isnād is weak due to the weakness of Ibn Lahīʿah." Then the ḥadīth has also been narrated from two other Companions: one of them is ʿIṣmah ibn Mālik al-Khaṭmī. The other is Sahl ibn Saʿd al-Sāʿidī. As for the first, it is narrated by al-Faḍl ibn al-Mukhtār from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muhib from him. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī (17/186/498), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (2/555/2700). Al-Haythamī said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and it includes al-Faḍl ibn al-Mukhtār, who is weak." As for the ḥadīth of Sahl, it is narrated by ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn al-Ḍaḥḥāk: Ibn Abī Ḥāzim narrated to us from his father from him. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (6/212/5901), and Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (1/32 and 5/295). Al-Haythamī said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and it includes ʿAbd al-Wahhāb ibn al-Ḍaḥḥāk, who is abandoned." The ḥadīth was discussed by al-Munāwī in "Fayḍ al-Qadīr," and he quoted the statements of scholars who criticized it from all its chains, but he added: "However, it is strengthened by the multiplicity of its chains." He elaborated extensively in his explanation and clarification of its intended meaning without benefit, and it appears that the intended meaning is what the ḥadīth scholars, including al-Bayhaqī, said. He stated in "al-Shuʿab" from Abū ʿAbd Allāh: "It means that whoever carries the Qurʾān and recites it; the Fire will not touch him."
"إسناده ضعيف لضعف ابن لهيعة"! ثم إن الحديث قد روي عن صحابيين آخرين: أحدهما: عصمة بن مالك الخطمي. والآخر: سهل بن سعد الساعدي. أما الأول، فيرويه الفضل بن المختار عن عبد الله بن موهب عنه به. أخرجه الطبراني (١٧/١٨٦/٤٩٨) ، والبيهقي في "الشعب " (٢/٥٥٥/ ٢٧٠٠) . وقال الهيثمي:"رواه الطبراني، وفيه الفضل بن المختار، وهو ضعيف ". وأما حديث سهل؛ فيرويه عبد الوهاب بن الضحاك: ثنا ابن أبي حازم عن أبيه عنه. أخرجه الطبراني في"الكبير" (٦/٢١٢/٥٩٠١) ، وابن عدي في "الكامل" (١/٣٢ و٥/٢٩٥) . وقال الهيثمي:"رواه الطبراني، وفيه عبد الوهاب بن الضحاك، وهو متروك ". والحديث تكلم عليه المناوي في "فيض القدير"، ونقل أقوال العلماء الذين أعلوه من جميع طرقه، واستدرك عليهم بقوله:"لكنه يتقوى بتعدد طرقه ". وقد أطال النفس في شرحه وبيان المراد منه دون طائل، والظاهر أن المراد ما قاله أئمة الحديث، منهم البيهقي، فقال في "الشعب " عن أبي عبد الله:"يعني: أن من حمل القرآن وقرأه؛ لم تمسه النار".
