Ibn ʿUmar said: it occurred to me that it was the palm tree, and I saw Abū Bakr and ʿUmar not speaking, so I disliked to speak or say anything. Then ʿUmar said: "If only you had said it; it would have been more beloved to me than such and such." It was recorded by Muslim (8/138) and al-Ṭabarī (13/138).

- "Among them are those whom the fire will take up to their ankles, [and among them are those whom the fire will take up to their knees], and among them are those whom it will take up to their waist, and among them are those whom it will take up to their neck." It was recorded by Muslim (8/150), Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (16026), Aḥmad (5/10 and 18), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (6969 and 6970) through the route of Abū Naḍrah from Samurah ibn Jundub that he heard the Prophet of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: ... and he mentioned the ḥadīth. The context is from Muslim with the addition. It was also narrated by al-Ṭabarānī (6889) through the route of Saʿīd ibn Bashīr from al-Ḥasan from Samurah with a similar narration.

- "This one unsheathed my sword while I was sleeping, and I awoke while it was in his hand, drawn. He said to me: 'Who will protect you from me?' I said: 'Allāh.' So here he is sitting." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (4134 and 4135), Muslim (7/62), al-Nasāʾī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (8772 and 2885), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (6/319) and in "Dalāʾil al-Nubuwwah" (3/373), and Aḥmad (3/3311) through the route of Sinān ibn Abī Sinān and Abū Salamah from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh
