2- as for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar; it is narrated by Sharīk from Abū ʿUlwān ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAṣmah from Ibn ʿUmar who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh say: ... and he mentioned the ḥadīth. It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī (2220 and 3944), al-Ṭayālisī (1925), Aḥmad (2/26, 87, 91, and 92), al-Dūlābī in "al-Kuná" (2/36), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Dalāʾil" (6/482). Al-Tirmidhī said: "This is a ḥasan gharīb ḥadīth, we do not know it except from the narration of Sharīk." 3- as for the ḥadīth of Salāmah bint al-Ḥurr; it is narrated by Umm Ghurāb from ʿAqīlah, the freedwoman of Umm al-Banīn, from Salāmah bint al-Ḥurr as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (24/310/782). I said: And this isnād is unknown. (Note): Al-Ṭabarānī recorded these chains and others in the biography of Asmāʾ bint Abī Bakr (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā); among them is the chain of Abū Nawfal ibn Abī ʿAqrab which Muslim recorded; this was overlooked by al-Haythamī, who mentioned it in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (7/226), and said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its men are the men of (the Ṣaḥīḥ)!"
