- "Indeed, my basin is farther than the distance from Ayla to Aden. By the One in whose hand is my soul, its vessels are more numerous than the stars, and it is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. By the One in whose hand is my soul! I will drive away men from it as a man drives away strange camels from his basin. It was said: O Messenger of Allāh! Will you recognize us? He said: Yes, you will come to me with bright faces and limbs from the effects of ablution, which no one else will have." It was recorded by Muslim (1/150) and Ibn Mājah (4302) through the route of Rubayʿī from Ḥudhayfah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it, with the context being from Ibn Mājah, and Muslim does not have the phrase: "the stars" to his saying: "honey." However, it is with him (7/69) from the narration of Abū Dharr, and likewise it is with Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim and others, and it is extracted in "Ẓilāl al-Jannah" under number (721). The ḥadīth is also narrated by Muslim and others from the narration of Abū Hurayrah with additions and omissions, and its extraction will come under number (3952). *
