- "Indeed, Allāh extends His hand during the night so that the wrongdoer of the day may repent, and He extends His hand during the day so that the wrongdoer of the night may repent, until the sun rises from the west." Narrated by Muslim (8/99-100), al-Bayhaqī in "Sunan" (8/136 and 10/188) and in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (321), and Aḥmad (4/395 and 404) from the route of Abū ʿUbaydah reporting from Abū Mūsá from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: ... and he mentioned it. *
- (إنّ الله ﷿ يبسط يده بالليل؛ ليتوب مُسيءُ النهار، ويبسط يده بالنهار؛ ليتوب مسيء الليل، حتى تطلع الشمس من مغربها) . أخرجه مسلم (٨/٩٩- ١٠٠) ، والبيهقي في"سننه " (٨/١٣٦ و١٠/١٨٨) وفي "الأسماء والصفات " (٣٢١) ، وأحمد (٤/٣٩٥ و٤٠٤) من طريق أبي عبيدة يحدث عن أبي موسى عن النبي ﷺ قال: ... فذكره. *
- "Indeed, Allāh loves the devout, wealthy, and hidden servant." Narrated by Muslim (8/214-215), Aḥmad (1/168), Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (1/24-25 and 368), and al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (15/21-22) from the route of ʿĀmir ibn Saʿd who said: Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ was among his camels, and his son ʿUmar came to him. When Saʿd saw him, he said: I seek refuge in Allāh from the evil of this rider! He dismounted and said to him: You have settled among your camels and sheep, leaving people to dispute over leadership among themselves?! Saʿd struck his chest and said: Be silent! I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: ... and he mentioned it. It was narrated by Kathīr ibn Zayd al-Aslamī from al-Muṭṭalib from ʿUmar ibn Saʿd from his father who said: His son ʿĀmir came to him and said: O my son! Do you command me to be a leader in the turmoil?! By Allāh! Until I am given a sword; if I strike a Muslim, it will not harm him, and if I strike a disbeliever, it will kill him. I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: ... and he mentioned the ḥadīth. Narrated by Aḥmad (1/177), and from his route: Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (1/94); but he said:
- (إنّ الله يحب العبد التقيَّ الغنيَّ الخفيَّ) . أخرجه مسلم (٨/٢١٤-٢١٥) ، وأحمد (١/١٦٨) ، وأبو نعيم في"الحلية" (١/٢٤- ٢٥ و٣٦٨) ، والبغوي في"شرح السنة" (١٥/ ٢١- ٢٢) من طريق عامر ابن سعد قال:كان سعد بن أبي وقاص في إبله، فجاءه ابنه عمر، فلما رآه سعد؛ قال: أعوذ بالله من شر هذا الراكب! فنزل، فقال له: أنزلت في إبلك وغنمك، وتركت الناس يتنازعون الملك بينهم؟! فضرب سعد في صدره فقال:اسكت! سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: ... فذكره. ورواه كثير بن زيد الأسلمي عن المطلب عن عمر بن سعد عن أبيه أنه قال:جاءه ابنه عامر، فقال: أي بُني! أفي الفتنة تأمرني أن أكون رأساً؟! والله! حتى أعطى سيفاً؛ إن ضربت مسلماً نبا عنه، وإن ضربت به كافراً قتله، سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: ... فذكر الحديث. رواه أحمد (١/١٧٧) ، ومن طريقه: أبو نعيم في "الحلية" (١/٩٤) ؛ لكنه قال:
