he said to me: ... and he did not mention the phrase: and his son ʿĀmir came to him ... and this is the correct version, which the first route supports. Although Kathīr ibn Zayd al-Aslamī made mistakes, as in "al-Taqrīb." *
قال لي: ... ولم يذكر جملة: وجاءه ابنه عامر ... وهذا هو الصواب الذي تشهد له الطريق الأولى. على أن كثير بن زيد الأسلمي كان يخطئ؛ كما في "التقريب ". *

- (Indeed, Allāh is protective, and the believer is protective, and the protection of Allāh is that the believer does what is forbidden to him). Narrated by al-Bukhārī (5223), Muslim (8/101), Ibn Ḥibbān (293), and al-Tirmidhī (1168) - who authenticated it - and al-Bayhaqī in "Sunan" (10/225) and in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (482), and Aḥmad (2/343 and 519-520 and 536 and 539), all from the route of Abū Salamah from Abū Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. *
- (إن الله يغار، وإنّ المؤمن يغارُ، وغيرةُ الله: أن يأتي المؤمن ما حرم عليه) . أخرجه البخاري (٥٢٢٣) ، ومسلم (٨/١٠١) ، وابن حبان (٢٩٣) ، والترمذي (١١٦٨) - وصححه-، والبيهقي في "سننه " (١٠/٢٢٥) وفي "الأسماء والصفات " (٤٨٢) ، وأحمد (٢/٣٤٣ و٥١٩-٥٢٠ و٥٣٦ و٥٣٩) كلهم من طريق أبي سلمة عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: ... فذكره. *

- (Indeed, Allāh - ﷿ says: Fasting is for Me, and I will reward for it. The fasting person has two joys: when he breaks his fast, he rejoices, and when he meets Allāh, He will reward him, and he will rejoice. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muḥammad! The breath of the fasting person is more pleasing to Allāh than the scent of musk). Narrated by Muslim (3/158), al-Nasāʾī (2/309 and 310), and Aḥmad (3/5) from the route of Abū Ṣāliḥ from Abū Hurayrah and Abū Saʿīd who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: ... and he mentioned it. And it was narrated by al-Bukhārī (1904 and 7492) from the route of Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Zayyāt who heard Abū Hurayrah say: ... and he mentioned it; with some rearrangement. And it has other routes with different wordings; many of the good ones were compiled by al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Mundhirī
- (إن الله- ﷿ يقول: إن الصوم لي، وأنا أجزي به.إن للصّائم فرحتين: إذا أفطر فرح، وإذا لقي الله فجزاهُ فرح. والذي نفس محمد بيده! لخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك) . أخرجه مسلم (٣/١٥٨) ، والنسائي (٢/٣٠٩ و٣١٠) ، وأحمد (٣/٥) من طريق أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة وأبي سعيد قالا: قال رسول الله ﷺ: ... فذكره. وأخرجه البخاري (١٩٠٤ و٧٤٩٢) من طريق أبي صالح الزيات أنه سمع أبا هريرة يقول: ... فذكره؛ بتقديم وتأخير. وله طرق أخرى بألفاظ مختلفة؛ جمع الكثير الطيب منها؛ الحافظ المنذريّ
