It was recorded by Muslim (8/209), and Aḥmad (3/228 and 269). Second: from Qatādah, from Anas: that a man from the desert came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: O Messenger of Allāh! When will the Hour be established? He said: "Woe to you! What have you prepared for it?!" He said: I have not prepared for it, except that I love Allāh and His Messenger. He said: "You will be with those whom you love." So we said: And we are the same? He said: "Yes." We were extremely happy that day, and a boy from the family of al-Mughīrah passed by—he was one of my peers—and he said: "If this one is delayed, he will not reach old age before the Hour is established." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (6167), Muslim, and Aḥmad (3/192). Third: from al-Ḥasan, from Anas: that a Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allāh about the establishment of the Hour? The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him: "What have you prepared for it?!" He said: Nothing, except that I love Allāh and His Messenger. He said: "A person will be with those whom he loves," then he said: "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?" He said: And there was a boy, and he said: "If this one lives, he will not reach old age before the Hour is established."
