"Zayd would eliminate any errors and doubts in the ḥadīth, and narrate only what was certain"; as mentioned in his biography in "al-Tahdhībayn". (Benefit): (al-ṭuhūr) with ḍammah: purification, and with fatḥah: the water used for purification like (al-wuḍūʾ) and (al-waḍūʾ), and (al-suḥūr) and (al-saḥūr): "Nihāyah". *
«كان زيد يُلقي ما في الحديث من غلط وشك، ويحدث بما لا شك فيه» ؛ كما في ترجمته من «التهذيبين» . (فائدة) : (الطُّهور) بالضم: التطهر، وبالفتح: الماء الذي يتطهر به كـ (الوُضوء) و (الوَضوء) ، و (السُّحور) و (السَّحور) : «نهاية» . *
- (I do not command anyone to prostrate to anyone, and if I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would have commanded the woman to prostrate to her husband). It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (11/356/12003): ʿAbbās ibn al-Faḍl al-Asfaṭī narrated to us: Abū ʿAwn al-Ziyādī narrated to us: Abū ʿAzzah al-Dabbāgh from Abū Yazīd al-Madīnī from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu): that a man from the Anṣār had two stallions; they went into heat, so he put them in a garden and closed the door on them, then he came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), wanting him to supplicate for him, and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was sitting with a group of the Anṣār. He said: O Prophet of Allāh! I have come for a need, and my two stallions have gone into heat, so I put them in a garden and closed the door on them, and I wish you would supplicate for me that Allāh subdues them for me! He said to his companions: "Stand with us." He went until he came to the door, and said: "Open it." The door was opened; and one of the stallions was near the door, and when it saw the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), it prostrated to him, and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:
- (لا آمرُ أحَداً أنْ يسجُدَ لأحَدٍ، ولو أمرْتُ أحداً أنْ يسجُد لأحدٍ؛ لأمرتُ المرأةَ أن تسْجدَ لزوجِها) . أخرجه الطبراني في «المعجم الكبير» (١١/٣٥٦/١٢٠٠٣) : حدثنا العباس ابن الفضل الأسفاطي: ثنا أبو عون الزِّيَادي: ثنا أبو عَزَّة الدَّبَّاغ عن أبي يزيد المديني عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس ﵄: أن رجلاً من الأنصار كان له فحلان؛ فاغتلما فأدخلهما حائطاً، فسدَّ عليهما الباب، ثم جاء إلى النبي ﷺ، فأراد أن يدعو له، والنبي ﷺ قاعد ومعه نفر من الأنصار، فقال: يا نبيَّ الله! إني جئت في حاجة، وإن فحلين لي اغتلما، فأدخلتهما حائطاً، وسددت الباب عليهما، فأحب أن تدعو لي أن يسخِّرهما الله لي! فقال لأصحابه:«قوموا معنا» . فذهب حتى أتى الباب، فقال:«افتح» . ففتح الباب؛ فإذا أحد الفحلين قريب من الباب، فلما رأى النبي ﷺ سجد له، فقال النبي ﷺ:
