I said: and this isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs. Hārūn ibn Saʿd also corroborated it, saying: I heard Abū Ḥāzim al-Ashjaʿī ... Aḥmad also recorded it (2/493). And this Abū Ḥāzim al-Ashjaʿī is Salamah ibn Dīnār al-Aʿraj, and al-Mizzī mentioned him among the narrators from Abū Hurayrah (34/375), indicating that this is with the two Shaykhs and the four. And Hārūn ibn Saʿd — who is al-ʿAjlī — is among the men of Muslim, trustworthy but accused of being a Rāfiḍī. Yaḥyá ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd al-Ḥimmānī narrated it from Ibn Fuḍayl from his father from Abū Ḥāzim with it; and added: I met ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Qāsim, the client of Abū Bakr, and mentioned that to him, and he said: That is a man who used to ask people excessively. Al-Bayhaqī recorded it in "al-Shuʿab" (3/271/3515). And this ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Qāsim is a Tābiʿī of unknown status, not authenticated by anyone except Ibn Ḥibbān, so this addition is disconnected and not authentic. And Yaḥyá ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd al-Ḥammānī; al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mughnī": "A ḥāfiẓ, but his ḥadīth is rejected, and he was authenticated by Ibn Maʿīn and others, and Aḥmad said: he used to lie openly. Al-Nasāʾī said: weak." And al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "A ḥāfiẓ; but they accused him of stealing ḥadīth."
