I said: This is an authentic isnād according to the criteria of Muslim, and he has included it as will be mentioned without Abū al-Zubayr explicitly stating the transmission, and this is a valuable benefit preserved for us by al-Ḥumaydī, may Allāh have mercy on him, and for this reason, I have included it. Muslim also recorded it (6/107) through the route of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān: Sufyān narrated to us with it; except that he did not provide its wording and said: "similar to the ḥadīth of Zuhayr." meaning the one before it, and he has provided it, and it is also mentioned by al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (11/393) and he authenticated it—through two routes from him from Abū al-Zubayr from Jābir as a marfūʿ ḥadīth: "Do not send out your animals and children when the sun sets until the twilight of night has passed; for the devils are active when the sun sets until the twilight of night has passed." Similarly, it was recorded by Abū ʿAwānah in his "Musnad" (5/333), Abū Dāwūd in his "Sunan" (2604), al-Bayhaqī (5/256), and Aḥmad (3/312, 386, 395). It was narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/68/132 and 4/148/2590), and from him by Ibn Ḥibbān (2/285/1272), and Aḥmad (3/301) through the route of Fiṭr ibn Khālifah from Abū al-Zubayr with a similar meaning. ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ followed him from Jābir with part of it. It was narrated by the two Shaykhs and others, and it is included in "al-Irwāʾ" (1/79-80). In a narration of theirs with the wording: "When the night falls, keep your children close; for the devils spread out at that time..." the ḥadīth. Its documentation was previously mentioned under number (40)
