"It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in its isnād is Muslim ibn al-Walīd ibn al-ʿAbbās, about whom I do not recall any criticism or commendation." Similarly, in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (1/104); however, it states: "I have not seen anyone mention him." I say: This entry should not have been hidden from al-Haythamī; because it is in his book which he authored in "Tartīb Thiqāt Ibn Ḥibbān" (3/66/2), but glory be to Him who nothing is hidden from in the earth or in the sky! The connection of the isnād of the ḥadīth is not objected to by the statement of the ḥāfiẓ in "al-Taqrīb" regarding (al-Muṭṭalib ibn ʿAbd Allāh): "Truthful; often practiced tadlīs and irsāl." This is because he narrated directly and did not use irsāl, and he heard and did not practice tadlīs, for he said—as mentioned earlier—I heard a man asking ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr... thus it is established that it is connected, and all praise is due to Allāh. Furthermore, the ḥadīth has many supporting narrations; so we will not prolong the discussion by mentioning them. *
(A man said: All praise is due to Allāh abundantly, and the angel deemed it great to write it down, and he referred it back to his Lord, so it was said to him: Write it as My servant said: abundantly). It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (3/44/2082) where he said: Aḥmad ibn Zuhayr narrated to us, he said: Yūsuf ibn ʿAbd al-Malik al-Wāsiṭī al-Daqīqī—brother of Muḥammad ibn
