"The best of horses: the one with a white blaze, a white mark on the forehead, black, with white legs, and free on the right side. If it is not black, then a chestnut with these markings." I said: This is an authentic isnād from the narration of Ibn al-Mubārak from Ibn Lahīʿah, and he attributed it to his grandfather (ʿUqbah). It was also recorded by al-Tirmidhī (1696) through the route of al-Ṭayālisī, and it appears there as: (Ibn Lahīʿah). Then it was recorded by al-Tirmidhī, al-Ḥākim, and Ibn Ḥibbān (1633) through the route of Yaḥyá ibn Ayyūb from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb from ʿAlī ibn Rabāḥ with it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "Good and authentic." Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and al-Mundhirī confirmed it (2/162/19). It is a strong corroboration for the previous narration of al-Dārimī from Ibn Lahīʿah from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb. *

Meaning: her husband who is in battle) It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (3/439), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (20/196/441) through the route of Rushdīn from Zabān from Sahl ibn Muʿādh ibn Anas from his father from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): that a woman came to him and said: O Messenger of Allāh! My husband has gone out to battle, and I used to follow his prayer when he prayed, and all his actions. So inform me of a deed that would make me reach his deeds until he returns. He said to her: "Can you stand and not sit, fast and not break your fast, and remember Allāh and not cease until he returns?"
