and he narrated it with ʿanʿanah, yet Aḥmad Shākir authenticated its isnād in his commentary on "al-Musnad" (12/16)! Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim followed him in narrating from ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb with it; however, he differed in its wording, saying: ".. even if it is as small as a sandgrouse's nest, Allāh will build for him a house in Paradise"; he did not mention: ".. larger than it." It was recorded by al-Khaṭīb in "Tārīkh Baghdād" (9/95). 2- As for the ḥadīth of Asmāʾ bint Yazīd; it is narrated by Maḥmūd ibn ʿAmr al-Anṣārī from her in a marfūʿ manner with it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/461), al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (2/126), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (24/165/468) and "al-Awsaṭ" (9/209/8454); but in neither of them does it contain: "larger than it." I say: This isnād is ḥasan or close to ḥasan; for all its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Maḥmūd ibn ʿAmr al-Anṣārī, whom Ibn Ḥibbān declared trustworthy (5/434), and two have narrated from him, noting that he is from the Tābiʿīn, and al-Dhahabī said: "there is some unknown status about him." Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "acceptable." Therefore, al-Haythamī said (2/8) after attributing it to al-Ṭabarānī and Aḥmad: "and its narrators are trustworthy."
