The ḥadīth is authentic; for it has many supporting narrations in "al-Ṣaḥīḥayn" and others, some of which you can find in "Aḥkām al-Janāʾiz" (p. 34 - al-Maʿārif) and "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Targhīb" Book of Marriage number (1999). *

It was narrated by Aḥmad in "al-Musnad" (6/362), and al-Dūlābī in "al-Asmāʾ wa-l-Kuná" (2/134), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (24/255/652) through various chains from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb: Ḥaywah ibn Sharīḥ informed me, he said: Abū Ṣakhr narrated to me that Yūḥannas Abū Mūsá narrated to him that Umm al-Dardāʾ narrated to him: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) met her one day, and said: "Where have you come from, O Umm al-Dardāʾ?!"
