and all of them are from the narrators of "al-Tahdhīb"; except for Aḥmad ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿUbaydah al-ʿAsfarī, for I did not find a biography or mention of him in any of the biographical dictionaries, nor was he mentioned among those who narrated from ʿUbayd Allāh al-Ḥanafī, nor among those whose lineage is (al-ʿAsfarī). Despite that, al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/66): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and it includes ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī al-Zinād, and his ḥadīth is ḥasan, though there is weakness in it, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy"! So I do not know whether he meant by this authentication (al-ʿAsfarī) or not?! It seems to me that al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar considers the former; for he said in "Mukhtaṣar al-Zawāʾid" (2/389-390/2072): "I said: Its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ"! Yes, the ḥadīth is ṣaḥīḥ; for it has come with another isnād from Suhayl ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ; Muslim said in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (8/145), and Aḥmad in "Musnad" (2/417): Qutaybah ibn Saʿīd narrated to us: Yaʿqūb (meaning: Ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān) narrated to us from Suhayl with it, and its wording is: "Among those who love me most from my ummah are people who will come after me, one of them would wish to see me even at the cost of his family and wealth." And it has a supporting narration with Aḥmad from the ḥadīth of Abū Dharr, raised [to the Prophet], which was previously referenced in the third volume under number (1918). As for what was narrated by al-Bazzār (2842) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Dāwūd al-Ḥarrānī—who is the brother of ʿAbd al-Ghaffār—: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us from Abū ʿUshānah who said: I heard Abū al-Yaqẓān ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir saying:
