I said: The isnād of al-Bazzār is authentic according to the conditions of al-Bukhārī, and this was not apparent to al-Haythamī. And its isnād is as follows: Ibn Karāmah narrated to us: Ibn Mūsá narrated to us: Ibn al-Ghasīl—whose name is ʿAbd al-Raḥmān—narrated to us from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās ... al-Haythamī said (10/37): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār from Ibn Karāmah from Ibn Mūsá, and I do not know their names now, and the rest of the men are the men of (the Ṣaḥīḥ)!" The ḥāfiẓ commented on it in "Mukhtaṣar al-Zawāʾid" saying (2/371): "I said: Ibn Karāmah is Muḥammad ibn ʿUthmān ibn Karāmah. And Ibn Mūsá is ʿUbayd Allāh, and both are among the shaykhs of al-Bukhārī in his 'Ṣaḥīḥ', and the isnād is according to the conditions of al-Bukhārī; for he narrated it from three of his shaykhs from Ibn al-Ghasīl." I said: And Ibn Saʿd narrated it in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (2/252): ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Mūsá informed us of it. Then al-Bazzār said: "It has been narrated similarly from various sources with different wordings."
