I said: This is a strong corroboration from Ibn Lahīʿah; for his poor memory is only feared when he is alone in narrating. Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (4/233/1) and mentioned it in both parts: "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Ṭabarānī through the route of Ibn Lahīʿah from Darāj from him. It was also narrated by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" and al-Ḥākim through the route of ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith from Darāj from him, and al-Ḥākim said: 'The isnād is authentic'..." (Note): The ḥadīth of Ibn Ḥibbān was published in "al-Iḥsān" (16/512 - printed by the institution) and in "al-Mawārid" (8/325 - printed by al-Thaqāfah), and they attributed it to Aḥmad and al-Bayhaqī, without pointing out the addition of the second part that they have! *His (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) advice regarding the Anṣār in his last sermon

- (As for what follows; O people! Indeed, the people will increase and the Anṣār will decrease until they become like salt in food. Whoever among you is appointed to a position [over the nation of Muḥammad (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and is able to] harm or benefit someone, let him accept from their good-doers and overlook their wrong-doers). It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (927, 3628, and 3800) - the context and addition are his - and al-Ḥākim (2/78-79) - who authenticated it; and al-Dhahabī agreed with him - and al-Bazzār in his "Musnad" (3/301/2798) - the following addition is his - from Ibn ʿAbbās (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: [The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was approached and told: These are the Anṣār; their men and women are weeping in the mosque! He said: "And what makes them weep?!"
