then it was also narrated by al-Ṭabarānī (17/129/317), and Ibn ʿAsākir from two other routes from al-Aḥwaṣ with it; except that he paired with Abū Umāmah: (ʿUtbah ibn ʿAbd al-Sulamī). Al-Mundhirī said (1/165/8): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and some of its narrators are disputed, and the ḥadīth has many supporting narrations." I say: he is referring to al-Aḥwaṣ ibn Ḥakīm. Al-Haythamī clarified this by saying: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and in it is al-Aḥwaṣ ibn Ḥakīm, who was deemed trustworthy by al-ʿAjlī and others, but weakened by a group, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy, with some having minor disputes that do not harm [the narration]." *

- (he used to pray before ẓuhr—after the decline [of the sun]—four [rakʿahs], and he would say: indeed, the gates of heaven are opened [at that time], so I love to present a righteous deed during it). It was narrated by Imām Aḥmad (3/411): Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī narrated to us, he said: [Muḥammad ibn] Muslim ibn Abī al-Waḍḍāḥ narrated from ʿAbd al-Karīm from Mujāhid from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Sāʾib who said: ... and he mentioned it. It was also narrated by al-Tirmidhī (478) through the route of al-Ṭayālisī with it. He said: "It is a ḥasan gharīb ḥadīth, and it has been narrated from the Prophet—ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam—that he used to pray four rakʿahs after the decline, not giving salām except at the end of them." I say: the isnād of the ḥadīth is good, and it is according to the criteria of Muslim. And ʿAbd al-Karīm: he is Ibn Mālik al-Jazarī. And Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī: he is the ḥāfiẓ Sulaymān ibn Dāwūd, the owner of the well-known "Musnad," and the ḥadīth is not in it
